Completely unrelated to your post, but thank you for the picture of Ela and Jr. It shows me that what my daughter does when nursing is not unusual (hand against the chest and push away, like Jr. is doing). I've always wondered about it.

I wrote about nursing in February on a bench alongside 5th Avenue in New York City - very cold - but warm days were more pleasant. Still, my milk was at the right temperature on that cold winter day, even if my back was a bit chilled. Thankgoodness for nursing tanks!

My Peeper was born in late October, we we've not had long that it's been outdoor-nursing weather, but we've done plenty of nursing in indoor public places.

I think my favorite outdoor nursing experience to date has been sitting under a big tree in a very old cemetery, while my partner and her family helped her Pappy to place flags on veterans' graves for Memorial Day.
